ABOUT

Born and raised in rural southeastern North Carolina, Tarrah discovered her love for country music at a young age. Having begun performing publicly at the age of 5 and songwriting by the time she was 12, it’s safe to say that Tarrah always knew she wanted to have a career in music. She continued performing and writing throughout her adolescence, but largely put her dreams to the side when she graduated high school and took the more practical route of higher education. In addition to singing and writing, Tarrah has always had a passion for animals, and so pursued a degree in Animal Science from NC State University, where she also minored in music. Upon graduating college, she redirected her focus to music and songwriting, making the move to Nashville in 2021. Since then Tarrah has played over 200 shows a year, including performances at Music City’s iconic Bluebird Cafe and The Listening Room Cafe. She has also released four singles independently, which have been featured on Spotify’s editorial playlists including ’New Music Friday Country’, ‘Fresh Finds’ and ‘Next from Nashville’. In 2022 her song, “Tabs on You” was named the grand-prize winner of the Nashville Songwriters Association International’s annual song contest, for which she was featured in Music Row Magazine, and received praise from peers and industry professionals alike. The acoustic video for her song “Used to It” has been featured on CMT.com and can be viewed below. With new music slated for release in 2024, Tarrah is eager to continue evolving and elevating her sound and to genuinely connect with new audiences and listeners.
